Intimate Lightening
Introducing our new, innovative, anti-ageing and depigmentation treatment designed to eliminate or reduce pigmentation imperfections in the intimate area.
This innovative therapy offers remarkable results in addressing hyperpigmentation and other skin concerns in intimate areas, providing a safe and effective solution for enhanced confidence.
Hyperpigmentation in intimate areas can affect all skin types. Dermamelan Intimate Peel Treatment is an advanced depigmentation solution specifically formulated for sensitive intimate areas. This cutting-edge treatment targets and reduces hyperpigmentation, evens skin tone, and improves overall skin quality in this delicate area.
The Dermamelan intimate approach comprises a unique mix of active compounds that depigment while also acting on the inflammatory component that causes many hyperpigmentations, resulting in a visible improvement in skin quality, elasticity, and water retention in the area.
● Unified Skin Tone: The main advantage experienced by a user of the Dermamelan Intimate Peel is, of course, the achieved unified skin tone. It helps smoothen the complexion further, making the look more gleaming by fading away dark spots and uneven pigmentation.
● Rejuvenation: Besides depigmentation, the peel has rejuvenating effects on the texture, firmness, and elasticity of the skin; therefore, such skin looks younger.
● Short and Long-Term Correction: The therapy provides for short-term and long-term correction. It improves the current pigmentation problem and in the process reduces and finally halts the emergence of new dark spots to become sustainable in the enhancement of skin health.
● Diminishing of Moisture Loss with Improved Skin Hydration and Elasticity: It prevents dehydration of the skin. Adequately hydrated skin is very critical to the building blocks of smooth and supple skin in the genital area.
● Prevent Dark Spots: Prevention of dark spots with consistent use of Dermamelan Intimate Peel.

Frequently asked questions
The genital area has the highest concentration of melanocytes in the body (around 20% higher than in the facial area). Melanocytes cause pigmentation of the skin and this often happens when the skin, especially the face, is subjected to UV rays. However, in the genital area, it is usually a hormonal response which causes hyperpigmentation and this needs to be treated in a different way to treating the skin on the face.
Hyperpigmentation of the intimate area is quite common and is expressed in the form of dark spotting or not even skin tone in the genital-perineal region, perianal zone, mons pubis, internal part of thighs, and inguinal areas. Norplant and hyperpigmentation of intimate areas can have various causes:
● Hormonal Changes: Hormonal changes can cause an overproduction of melanin often characterized by pregnancy, menopause, or disease such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). ● Aging: With age, the skin naturally loses collagen and elastin, which causes a decreased firmness and elasticity of the skin. This can enhance hyperpigmentation, making dark spots appear darker and the skin more prone to further ones. ● External Irritants: These, especially tight clothing, regular shaving/waxing, and long sitting, can be the irritants on the skin leading to hyperpigmentation after inflammation. In such cases, external factors work gradually in darkening the skin. ● Genetic Predisposition: Those with darker skin who fall into the Fitzpatrick skin types IV to VI, are more predisposed to hyperpigmentation due to genetically increased baseline levels of endogenous melanin. Because of this, these individuals have further chances of problems related to pigmentation even with minor irritations.
PHASE ONE In clinic
● Preparation: The area of treatment is cleaned and sanitised. A protective barrier is applied around the sensitive areas to prevent the peel solution from affecting areas not desired. ● Application of Peel Solution: Inhibition of melanin production, reducing pigmentation, is facilitated by this solution, which contains powerful depigmenting agents in high proportion and is applied with great care to the targeted area. ● Neutralisation and Mask Application: After the peel solution is on for about 7 min, a post-peel neutralising solution is applied. After this, a Dermamelan Intimate mask is applied to potentiate the action of the treatment. To this, an occlusive film is applied to ensure the activation of ingredients and that they stay in contact with the skin. ● Post-Treatment Instructions: Two hours after treatment, the occlusive film remains on. Disposable panties are provided for the patient to wear over time. The practitioner will provide instructions on how to take care of it at home.
PHASE TWO
At home
●Removal of the Film: After two hours, the occlusive film and mask are removed by washing the treatment area with lukewarm water and mild cleansing gel. All residual products should be removed. ● Application of Post-Procedure Mask: A post-procedure mask containing crystal fibers is applied to the skin to soothe and cool the skin. This mask is left for 10-15 minutes and then washed off. ● Depigmenting Gel Cream for Home Use: Apply Dermamelan Intimate gel, to the treatment area for the succeeding 48 hours. This serves to normalise melanin production and prevents the manifestations of new hyperpigmentation. A panty-liner is recommended to avoid stains on clothes. ● Follow-Up Instructions: Particular aftercare may vary with the extent of the pigmentation. It is vital to follow recommendations as stated by the practitioner for optimal results.

Mild results from the treatment are immediately visible; however, the whole transformation can be seen after 6 weeks when the skin keeps on rejuvenating itself. Initial Improvements: Most patients are usually able to perceive initial changes in skin tone and texture following the clinic-based treatment.
