This depends on the type of appointment you book. Some clients prefer to have a separate consultation, while others choose to proceed with treatment on the same day. If you have booked a consultation-only appointment, no treatment will be carried out during this visit. If you have booked a treatment appointment, your consultation and treatment will take place during the same session. Profhilo® Structura is a bio-remodeller, working differently by improving tissue quality and supporting skin and underlying structures using stabilised hyaluronic acid. Profhilo® Structura Skin Rejuvenation Profhilo Structura integrates into the tissue to support the skin’s natural regenerative processes, helping to stimulate collagen production and improve firmness and elasticity. It also supports overall skin quality by enhancing hydration and strengthening the skin barrier, leaving the skin healthier, smoother, and more resilient. Dermal fillers provide immediate volume and shape by physically replacing lost structure beneath the skin. They are commonly used to enhance contours, smooth deeper lines, and restore facial volume instantly. Dermal fillers: Immediate results that are visible straight away, typically lasting several months to over a year depending on product and treatment area. Regarding filler dissolution Some patients prefer biostimulators if they are cautious about dermal fillers, or have concerns about hyaluronidase (filler dissolver).

Bio-Stimulators can be used on the face, neck, decolletage and back of hands, with the exception of Profhilo Structura, which is only suitable for the face.

Most biostimulator treatments require a course of 2 sessions spaced approximately 4–8 weeks apart. Please plan your appointments in advance, allowing sufficient time between sessions and before any important events. As with all injectable treatments, there is a risk of bruising and swelling. Bruising is usually small, but some bruising can last up to 2 weeks, so we recommend avoiding booking your treatment too close to important occasions such as holidays, weddings, or social events. To ensure optimal healing and results, please avoid the following for at least 2 weeks after treatment: Dental treatments Facials or skin treatments Massage or facial manipulation Other aesthetic treatments to the area If you are planning a special event, we recommend booking your final treatment at least 3–4 weeks beforehand, to allow time for any swelling or bruising to fully settle.

The injections are carried out using a cannula, which means less injection points, it can feel a little uncomfortable but is generally very well tolerated. After the treatment, you may experience some tenderness for the first 24- 72 hours.

Taking Anticoagulants and antiplatelets (eg heparin, warfarin, apixaban, or rivaroxaban) Anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-clotting agents or aspirin might cause bleeding or increased bruising at the injection site.

To ensure the best possible results from your treatment and to minimise any risks or side effects, please follow the aftercare instructions below: Immediately After Treatment • You may experience mild swelling, redness, or small bumps at the injection sites. This is completely normal and should subside within 24–72 hours. • Avoid touching the treated area for at least 12 hours to reduce the risk of irritation or infection. • Refrain from applying makeup for at least 12 hours, especially on or around the injection sites. • The treated area will feel slightly tender to the touch or with extreme facial expression. If bruising occurs, it will typically resolve over 5-10 days. Applying Arnica gel or bruise creams may help for a quicker recovery. • If needed, you can gently apply a cold compress (not directly on the skin) to reduce swelling or discomfort. • The area can be gently washed with a gentle cleanser or micellar water in the evening. Follow the 555 massage rule if you have had Radiesse or Sculptra* First 24–48 Hours • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications, unless prescribed — these can increase the risk of bruising. • Do not engage in strenuous exercise, swimming, or anything that causes excessive sweating. • Avoid hot environments such as saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or very hot baths/showers. • Sleep with your head slightly elevated for the first night if possible, to reduce any minor swelling. First 2 weeks • Avoid extended sun and UV exposure (including sun beds) and temperatures below 0 degrees for two weeks. • Avoid heat treatments such as sauna and steam for two weeks. Skincare & Hygiene • Continue your usual gentle skincare routine but avoid any exfoliating products, acids (e.g. glycolic/salicylic), retinoids or vitamin C serums for 48–72 hours. • Keep the area clean and moisturised to support skin healing, ideally a hyaluronic acid based skincare product. • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily to protect your skin. * 5-5-5 Massage rule - For Radiesse and Sculptra only This step is very important as biostimulators cannot be dissolved if nodules form- massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 consecutive days after the injection, to ensure the biostimulator disperses evenly, promotes collagen stimulation, and helps prevent the formation of lumps or nodules. This aftercare is crucial for maximising the treatment's effectiveness and achieving smooth, natural-looking results What to Expect Over Time • You may not see immediate visible changes. Results will develop gradually over the coming weeks, as your skin produces more collagen and elastin: Profhilo - optimal results are typically seen around 2 weeks after the second treatment. Radiesse - you may notice firmer, smoother skin within 4–6 weeks. Best results usually seen around 2–3 months. Sculptra - you may start to see results 6–8 weeks after the first session. Biostimulator treatments are not designed to affect facial movement or expressions. They work within the deeper skin layers, rather than the muscles responsible for facial expression. As a result, your natural facial movements remain unchanged, and outcomes are intended to look natural.
